DJ Hoody (short for Hoody Weather), also known simply as Hoody, is a
seasoned disc jockey with over a decade of experience in the music
scene. Originally hailing from Richmond, VA, he quickly became a
prominent figure on the local nightlife scene, securing numerous
residency gigs at popular venues. In 2016, his exceptional talent
earned him recognition as one of Richmond’s top DJs in the local
publication “Style Weekly.”
In late 2019, DJ Hoody embarked on a new chapter in his career,
making the move to San Diego. It didn’t take long for him to establish
himself as a local favorite, gracing the decks at Spin Nightclub, one of
San Diego’s premier dance venues. He also became a regular feature
at “Booty Basement,” the city’s longest-running hip-hop dance party.
Despite his success on the West Coast, DJ Hoody felt the call to return
to his roots, making a triumphant comeback to Richmond in late 2022.
Since his return, he has wasted no time in revitalizing the local scene.
Hoody successfully relaunched his renowned Expand Ur Mind party
series, hosting five unforgettable events across two cities. Additionally,
he secured a coveted residency at Richmond’s newest and largest
venue, the Park RVA.
Known for his dynamic and eclectic style, DJ Hoody seamlessly blends
energetic dance and house music with hip-hop beats and crowd
pleasing favorites. His ability to read the room and play the perfect
track at the perfect moment sets him apart. With a keen focus on
