Jeremy Alsop AKA Burpie’s love for comedy had to be revealed to him by a complete stranger telling him he needs to try stand up and stop wasting his life away. One August day in 2009 he touched a comedy stage for the 1st time and has not ever looked back.
Burpie has opened for such greats like Dave Chappelle, Damon Wayans, Jay Pharoah & Dave Attell just to name a few. He was a finalist in the 2012 Miller Lite Comedy Search and was featured on Shaquille O’Neal’s Next Allstar as a 2017 cast member of MTV’s Wild’N Out and performs at clubs and
colleges regularly all across the country.
My ultimate goal is to just have people know my name from comedy. Whether it be stand up or TV, I just want to people to associate my name with being funny. I want people to know that I’m going to be
funny when they come see my shows or when they hear that I’m going to be part of a project. I think once that happens, everything else will fall into place. Ultimately, I just want to be remembered for being a funny person.
