Big Blast & The Party Masters REVIEWS

As always, an awesome band and group of entertainers. Derrick was on top of everything, easy to deal with and just a pleasure to be around. We had some concerns about sound quality going into this event, and man, did y'all step up. The sound was great. From the lowest of base drum beats to the highest of trumpet notes, the sound balance was perfect. I had the chance to listen to the sound check process for about an hour. Watching the meticulous attention to detail was actually entertaining in and of itself. The sound man, whose name I unfortunately have forgotten, was awesome. We have received dozens of compliments regarding the band. And while this was a bit more of laid back "over 50" crowd, as opposed to the "under 30" wedding reception crowd, everyone LOVED these folks.

Big Blast was a BIG HIT! Their performance was so high energy, and musically, they're just terrific. I also very much appreciated their assistance with the facilitating of toasts. That was done so professionally. I felt like the entire band was invested in the outcome of the party. They were terrific partners.

I love this band so much! From start to finish everything was on point! I have been a wedding planner for close to 15 years and Big Blast was the easiest band to work with from planning to execution. Jerry was so accommodating in the planning process. He worked with my bride and groom to plan the perfect musical evening. The band members are very professional, kind, looked GREAT and amazing performers ! My clients and the guests were blown away by the three- hour non-stop outstanding performance. Big Blast and The Party Masters were the BEST BAND ever. I can’t tell you how many people were gushing over how great they were. They played the second line from the ceremony to the dance floor and then at the end of the evening did another second line as my son and his wife departed. They played a solid three hours with no break and never missed a beat. Several people asked me for the contact. They did a fabulous job and made the wedding for us. Big Blast was absolutely awesome. From the trio that played at the beginning of our reception to the "full on" band with horns that cranked up later, they were perfect. So full of energy and really got the crowd on their feet. I especially loved how well they played our special dance songs. We just got back from our honeymoon last night and I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for all your help in getting Big Blast and the Party Masters for our wedding! They put on an incredible show and had everyone dancing for the full three hours, including parents, grandparents, and my 8 year-old niece, who they invited onto the stage to dance to Taylor Swift!  It was the highlight of the weekend.  I believe Harrison and Julia Gray have some good video blackmail of the bride and groom on stage, as well…  Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long to hear them again as I think another UNC grad, Kate Rogers, is having them at her wedding in Raleigh a few weeks!Thanks again for everything – it was great working with you.  Hopefully see you around Charlotte soon.

Being the father of the bride the whole event is almost a blur to me.  However, I can say that everyone had a “Blast” and the band received great reviews from our guests.  They interacted with our group superbly  and the music was timely, well performed and first class.  There are no negatives to report.  People got on stage and danced and the band led the crowd on at least two occasions in a second line around the room.  The smartest thing we did was not let the band take a break.  Our guests, for the most part, remained at the reception until the band again, led everyone down the steps to light sparklers to send off the bride and groom.  Coming from New Orleans where the food and music are second to none, I have to say the band would fit in anywhere in our city and if I ever have another big party they would be tops on my list.  Would you please convey my comments to the Big Blast & The Party Masters?  We will surely use you again for our future needs.

The band was fantastic - EVERYONE loved them! When the horn section came down on the floor and walked around, you should have seen everyone's faces - they loved it! The dance floor remained consistently full. I am hoping to use them next year.

LOVED THEM! Probably the best wedding band I have ever seen... I was so completely impressed by their music choice, sound... everyone was incredibly nice. If all my brides had the budget for them I would recommend them to everyone. They were AWESOME. Absolutely played for 3 straight hours which I thought was extremely impressive. THEY ROCKED!

Wow !! -- Big Blast and the Party Masters ROCKED the HOUSE ! They were spectacular -RAVE reviews! Even BETTER than I had hopes -and trust me-I had very high hopes! [also helped that we were von the scenic river terrace with the most ideal weather!] But, truly, Rick, they are one of the best bands we have ever heard!Nini was there and so fired up about their playing for her daughter's wedding in Highlands after hearing them. They were also a pure delight --- warm and engaging and super engaging on stage! LOVED every minute! They were the bomb!! Thank you for all your help arranging them.

They were GREAT! Jerry was helpful the week-of and Cedric was helpful the day-of as well! They played 3 hours nonstop, which was wonderful for crowd response. With a "ballroom" wedding, such as at the River Course, this was key! It paid off. And I love that they ended the evening with some current and appropriate "wind down" songs (the guests asked for an encore, and they did another song!)
