ECE partnered with PartySlate and YSD Events to deliver a show-stopping entertainment experience for the Vera Wang Spring 2020 Bridal Collection dinner at the iconic Weylin in Brooklyn, NY. A curated string quartet, dramatic opera performance, and seamless live production transformed the evening into a cinematic celebration worthy of the queen of couture herself.
The Client / Event
PartySlate and YSD Events hosted a private dinner celebration honoring the launch of Vera Wang’s Spring 2020 Bridal Collection. The guest list included top fashion influencers, wedding industry leaders, and luxury event professionals. The goal was to create an immersive, elegant dinner party experience that mirrored the sophistication of Vera Wang’s designs.
The Challenge
The event required entertainment that was high-end yet dramatic, complementing the couture fashion show and the romantic, all-white dinner-in-the-round aesthetic. The music needed to elevate each stage of the evening—from the grand arrival to dinner and runway moments—without overshadowing the main attraction.
The Solution
ECE’s location managing directors Tiffany Guttenplan (Palm Beach) and Kaitlin Sweeney (Philadelphia/NYC) collaborated to curate a bespoke entertainment plan:
- A string quartet welcomed guests on the grand staircase, setting a refined tone for arrival and cocktails.
- An opera soloist, Sandra Eddy, delivered a powerful live performance of “Habanera” from Carmen, timed perfectly with a dramatic reveal of the candle-lit dining space.
- ECE’s on-site team managed entertainment logistics and production flow to ensure seamless transitions throughout the night.
