When a client wanted to bring the spirit of New Orleans to their corporate appreciation event, ECE designed a seamless evening of nonstop live music featuring jazz, swing, and dueling pianos. The result: an immersive, unforgettable experience that rivaled Bourbon Street itself.
The Client / Event
A long-time corporate client partnered with ECE to design a client appreciation event during an annual industry conference at Wigwam Resort in Arizona. With competing events scheduled the same evening, the stakes were high: the entertainment had to stand out.
The Challenge
The client initially requested Harry Connick, Jr. for the event, but the budget didn’t allow for that level of celebrity talent. The question became: How do we still deliver an authentic, high-impact New Orleans experience that wows guests and beats the competition?
The Solution
Our ECE Richmond office curated an all-evening musical journey that brought Bourbon Street to life:
- Cocktail Hour: The California Feetwarmers performed New Orleans jazz on the lawn.
- Dinner: Guests were led second line–style into the dining tent where ECE Exclusive Good Shot Judy delivered a sultry, jazz-infused dinner set.
- Dessert & Finale: The Feetwarmers returned to lead guests outside before dueling pianos capped off the night with a high-energy finale.
The Results
- Guests raved about the authentic New Orleans vibe.
- A client exclaimed that the lead singer was “better than Harry Connick, Jr.”
- Décor designer Brent Tuten remarked: “The entertainment made this event come alive.”
