Funktion 11 is a musical faction comprised of formally trained, world-class musicians from Juiliard and other conservatories of music. Having woven together their diverse backgrounds in Jazz, Gospel, Funk/R&B and Pop, they create incredible original classics that fuse all of those stylings. Members of the band have accompanied many Music Heavyweights including, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Jill Scott, Faith Evans, Kelly Clarkson, Jimmy Heath, James Moody, Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove, Gregory Porter, Johnathan Blake, and Bebe and Cece Winans, to name a few. This 11 piece ensemble has shared the stage with national artists Sheila E, Big Daddy Kane, Orgone, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, The Stylistics, The Ebonys and others. Having played 100s of shows together, Funktion 11’s recent focus is pursuing a career as international recording artists.Â
