It was a perfect day for us and it just wouldn’t have been possible without THE BAND! I am a very fortunate father of the bride because I’m lucky to have a daughter who has the same musical taste as I do. The music was going to be a very important element of our celebration. From the very beginning, working through East Coast, we knew Forest Hill was the band for us! Mason guided us through the planning and handled the MC’ing without a hitch. They played beautiful music for the ceremony, a great acoustic set for the cocktail hour and two and a half hours of dance music where absolutely no one left the dance floor! We knew they played music we liked (Spanish Moon, are you kidding me?) but were professional and experience enough to put a set of music where young and old were all part of the celebration. Fun is infectious and Forest Hill got everyone on the dance floor to the point where we had to move tables to make more room for the dancers. Such Fun!! Claire, Alex, Liz and I can’t thank you enough for a memorable evening and we’ll catch The Shack out in Richmond sometime soon!"

Great wedding music and entertainment was the most important part for my husband and I and we couldn't imagine a better band than Forest Hill. They absolutely crushed it and all of our guests raved about how incredible the music was from the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We wanted everyone to be on the dance floor for the whole reception and they delivered with keeping the party going all night long. They were such a fun group to watch and you can really tell they have awesome chemistry together. Thank you ECE and Forest Hill for being amazing to work with and being a part of making our day so special!

I can't tell you how awesome it was having you guys put on such a great show all night, it made for the perfect celebration. We had at least a dozen people come up to us explicitly to say some version of "this band is incredible"... Even in the planning stage, it was a huge point of comfort for Summer & I to know we had you all as such a sure thing, for a major part in making the day fun & memorable for everyone. You guys completely delivered. I also want to give you some due props for your MC'ing. I'm not sure either of us appreciated how much that would add to the reception, but you were really great, and we both were so happy we had your touch added to it all... Obviously it helped the flow of the evening & kept things running smoothly, but your energy added a palpable level of comfort & warmth to what can be an awkward/stuffy/clunky show of toasts, dances, speeches, etc... You kind of humanized it all and let people exhale & let loose.

Just want to say how impressed we all were with the band. We have a lot of friends that are musicians and live music fans and they all couldn't believe how great you guys were. So many people were asking how we found such a great band! The mix of songs was great (great job on our first dance as well - turned out awesome), and the sound/mix/volume was all perfect. It was just the vibe we were looking for and we absolutely made the right choice having you all for the wedding. Your new female singer is great as well and fits with the band perfectly!

I am writing this because I wanted to give my thoughts as to the experience we had with the Forest Hill Band at our recent wedding on 9.1 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. I first off want to say a HUGE thank you to the band for being so flexible with everything. The weather sucked, but you guys put on one hell of a great show. I cannot thank you enough for your willingness to essentially take down all of your equipment and set it back up inside. I could not have been happier with the song selection and variety of music played. Having a live band was essential to me for our wedding, and we really scoured the internet until we found you all. You did NOT disappoint. The band was the highlight of everyone’s night and I think some may reach out to see if you can play some of their events. In the face of adversity you all pulled off a miracle and I wish you nothing but the best moving forward. I have gotten more compliments about you guys than any other aspect of our wedding. People are still texting me telling me how great you were. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making our big day the best ever.

When I first became engaged, one of the very first things that my now wife and I discussed was who to have play at our reception. I remember mulling out a few ideas and even contacting a few bands early on and couldn't make the decision, as something didn't seem right. We knew what we wanted, but we also knew we wanted a band that was flexible enough to take a stab at our first dance. So when we first saw what the Shack Band guys were up to with Forest Hill, the decision was clear. It was comforting knowing that Mason knew that we wanted a show of a lifetime. They didn't disappoint anyone.. They showed up to the venue, set up lights and all of their equipment while my wife and I became married. What separates this band from any other band I've booked in the past, is that we didn't even have one worry. On such an important day with all of the excitement, we knew that they would take care of the music in the most professional way. The song selection was incredible. As a performer myself, I know that being able to read the crowd is what separates the band from the rest, they do it better than anyone else in town. They followed up a great song with an even better song, making it hard to want to stop dancing. I am still getting texts about how amazing the band was, even ones who had seen them perform before saying that it was the best band that they had seen at a wedding. These guys have been playing music together longer than I can remember, which is impressive to see nowadays. I recommend this band to anyone seeking professionalism, talent and a downright shag fest at their big day. Cheers!

These guys were incredible. They came down to our beach wedding after Hurricane Hermine without complaining. They put on an awesome show and were the talk of the wedding. I have several other friends getting married that are already asking to book them. I couldn’t have been happier with their performance.
