Cinnamon Groove is a multicultural musical group whose main focus is making any occasion an event to remember. We take your imagination beyond expectation as we strive for excellence with every performance. Â Led by Grammy nominated bassist and producer Kirk Green and featuring an all star lineup of musicians and vocalists, Cinnamon Groove is able to perform a myriad of musical genres suitable for any type of event from weddings to bar mitzvahs, corporate parties to anniversaries and everything else in between.
Variety is the spice of life, and by that mantra, the band incorporates a wide array of music that will be sure to please everyone in the crowd. Â From Bob Marley to Bob Dylan, AC/DC to Akon, The Police to Pharrell, all musical styles are covered.
Bandleader and musical director Kirk Green is a graduate of the University of Miami’s jazz music program and has toured and worked with artist such as Joss Stone, Kelly Roland, R Kelly, DMX, and many international artists as well. He has also recorded with Lauryn Hill for whom he was also the musical director and received a Grammy nomination for his work with the artist Ricky Martin. He brings this vast musical knowledge to the band to create a sound and style that is second to none.
Cinnamon Groove is available in many different configurations. Â The recommended size for special events would be a seven piece configuration consisting of two female vocalist, a male vocalist, and a four piece rhythm section. A horn and string section are available upon request.
Along with this fantastic dance party band, Kirk Green has also put together a wonderful jazz group Symmetry featuring the upright bass, acoustic drums and piano which would be perfect for small intimate gatherings and the like prior to the main event. Â For those classical moments like wedding ceremonies black tie galas, receptions and any other formal events, Kirk Green also has the Canela String Quartet which features two violins, a viola, and a cellist, also a part of the Cinnamon Groove family.
