She is also the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Senior Award. Payton was born and raised in New York City where she was immersed in all things music and arts. From singing the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden to traveling throughout Europe performing with her choir and every musical theatre performance in between, her passion for live entertainment has only grown stronger.

During her time at the University of South Carolina, Payton continued to have her hand in many different aspects of the arts world. She was selected to be a member of Carolina Alive, an audition based vocal jazz ensemble. It was under the choral direction of Aletha Jacobs where Payton had the opportunity to perform with Darius Rucker and the members of Hootie and the Blowfish for the Today Show.

Payton began her experience working with entertainment organizations with her internship for Columbia Music Festival Association where, through her hard work, she became the Director of Social Media and Promotions. She continued her work with CMFA for nearly three years until beginning her career with EastCoast Entertainment. Payton also completed additional internships with Crust Nation (New York City), Columbia Children’s Theatre (Columbia, SC), Sound & Images (Columbia, SC) and Traklife Media Group (Remote – Los Angeles, CA). Through these working experiences, Payton has become well-rounded in different aspects of the entertainment industry.

Payton is looking forward to beginning her exciting career with EastCoast Entertainment.
