Steven has been playing music since early childhood. As a singer, multi-instrumentalist, writer, producer and engineer, he has entertained at county fairs, music festivals, charity events, bars and other venues throughout the Southeast. Recently he was competed and was named a 2016 Pepsi Southern Original Semifinalist, from a pool of over 6,500 artists. Born in the mountains of North Carolina, raised in the swamps of Florida, blessed by Memphis blues, and refined in Nashville, TN, the high-energy music of the Steven Metz Band has found inspiration from a variety of sources. His visceral writing style presents listeners with powerful lyrics and memorable melodies. The result is songs that can be gritty and soulful, edgy and energetic, or introspective and emotional. Steven and his band also have an impressive list of covers. Top 40 country artists like Eric Church and Chris Stapleton blend seamlessly with pop phenoms such as Ed Sheeran and John Mayer.
