Being a witness to what Secret Agent 23 Skidoo brought to McDaniel High school students in his rhyme writing workshop was magical. The students were able to easily use the tools he laid out for them to give them the confidence to perform in front of peers and strangers. Since that event, teachers have noticed the increased confidence in these students in their daily interactions with them. I have personally seen some of the students become more active in the theater department as a result of this workshop.

We brought Secret Agent 23 Skidoo into our school district of Pamlico County, and their work went light years beyond our expectations! As a high poverty area of Eastern North Carolina hit hard by the pandemic, resiliency has been a struggle for many families. This workshop not only let the students find joy and fun, but also helped them find a voice through the music. We’re working right now to bring the workshops back as soon as possible!
