As a professional bandleader, saxophonist, and
singer/songwriter with two albums and years of touring under his belt, and most
recently as DeeJay Riverside, Ken is able to deliver a musically unique, customized
wedding experience. Wedding ceremonies that Ken plays are intimate, warm, relaxed,
hassle free, and customized, with the personal touch and custom attention to
detail that comes with having one experienced performer play for your ceremony
and cocktail hour, then DJ your reception party.
Here’s how it works:
Ken sets up to three different PA systems for the evening.
The first is one that’s tailored for your ceremony: it handles acoustic guitar,
and any other musical instruments; wireless lav mic for the officiant; and speaking mics for readings. If
the cocktail hour is in a different area or location than the ceremony, Ken sets up a second PA, for
acoustic guitar and vocals, and transitions seamlessly from the ceremony to
cocktail hour. The third PA is the main DJ PA, usually set up by the dance
floor and dinner area. Ken moves to the DJ table and becomes your emcee,
introducing the wedding party and dances, and directing the flow of guests.
Then, as Deejay Riverside, Ken gets the dance floor packed for the reception!
Ken performs solo acoustic ceremony music that he works
closely with the client to select. During the cocktail hour, Ken sings acoustic
favorites from the 60s to today. For the reception, where Ken gets the party
going as Deejay Riverside through the full PA system, he spins it all – 80s/90s
dance party, Latin, R&B, the latest club hits. Of course he’ll take
requests, and works with clients to create custom song lists. Whatever you’d
