"About five years ago we hired the Blue Plantation Band for the Annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show. That first year it rained like crazy due to a tropical storm. The band showed up on time, set up their gear under an insufficient 10 x 10 tent with no sides, pulled out a tarp to attach to the back of the tent, and commenced to playing music. Apparently that was not their first tropical storm. We have invited them back for every boat show since. They are hardworking, professional, talented, and their musical style, a little bluegrass, a little swing, a little jazz - is perfect for our event. "We used the Blue Plantation Band for our reception music this February and they were so fabulous! It ended up raining so we had to move everyone in the building and they were super flexible about moving around. Aaron was great working with before the wedding. He always got back to me if I had any questions. The band showed up right on time and were very friendly. "My wife Andrea and I had the good judgment to hire Blue Plantation to play at our wedding. With my parents and a large part of my family hailing from the west of Ireland, we asked the band to sprinkle in some Irish selections from their song list. They were more than accommodating with our request. It inspired some spontaneous and joyous dancing from my sisters and nephew, who are well-trained stepdancers. As a fellow musician, I was impressed with their talent, professionalism, consistency and pleasant nature. It added so much character and joy to our celebrations that day.
