Spring has sprung in RVA! Despite some decidedly up and down weather (20 degrees? Just when we had put our winter coats away for good!), ECE Richmond is definitely getting into the springtime spirit.

Complementing the changing weather and fresh landscape outside, the ECE Richmond roster has a fresh new look this spring. We’ve signed some of RVA’s hottest new acts to our exclusive roster, while perennial favorites continue to innovate, rolling out brand new photos and videos every week. It’s an exciting time to say the least! Read on to meet some of our newest bands and to reacquaint yourself with some ECE veterans who are staying on the cutting edge of entertainment.

Forest Hill
Forest Hill is not your typical private party band, but they don’t aim to be. Though they’re one of our newest bands, they’re hardly strangers to the local music scene. RVA music lovers will recognize members of Forest Hill from The Shack Band, a regionally touring rock band formed during its members’ college years in Blacksburg. (ECE insiders will recognize bassist Mason Owen as one of our newest agents!)

The Groove Motive
The Groove Motive had big shoes to fill even before their recent signing with ECE – their bandleader, Pierre Redding, is second cousin to the late R&B legend Otis Redding! Fortunately for us, Pierre and his band have talent to match such a big name. With a brand new video to showcase their talent, The Groove Motive never leaves an audience disappointed.

Fusion Band
The newest member in the Great Party Bands family, managed by bandleader mastermind Ray Caddell, is Fusion. Assembled from some of Central Virginia’s most talented musicians and singers, Fusion has rehearsed at length and – much to our delight at ECE – is all revved up and ready to go! Performing everything from Motown to 80’s favorites to classic country, Fusion is poised to make a splash in the Richmond music scene and beyond.

TFC Band and Show
TFC’s tagline is “A Timeless Classic” – that couldn’t be truer, but that doesn’t make them stagnant by any stretch of the imagination! The same principal musicians who formed the group years ago still lead this talented and professional band, and their ability to enthrall audiences of all ages endures. TFC’s commitment to remaining fresh and fun is never more present than in its brand new video.

Harley Boone
It’s hard to believe Harley Boone has been exclusive with ECE for almost a year now! Anyone who’s been following the band will be familiar with their down-home sound and lead singer Megan Browning’s powerhouse vocals; none of that has changed, but the band continues to innovate and develop, solidifying their name as one of Richmond’s best country acts. Look no farther than their live performance at the Omni-Homestead to see how far the band has come – and how far they’ll go.

Gentlemen and Their Lady
Gentlemen and Their Lady epitomizes innovation over decades of performances. Formed in 1960, the band has over 45 years of experience across the country. Now, the “new generation” of Gentlemen and Their Lady – hand-picked by the original group – are continuing the legacy started so many years ago. Led by Darcus Carr, the aforementioned “Lady”, the band continues to deliver superb experiences to all their clients.

Party of Four
Party of Four is America’s #1 Tribute to Jangle Pop – and one of Richmond’s favorite local acts! Playing the best songs of the 80’s and 90’s, these four musicians put on a high-energy, singalong heavy show that always gets audiences out on the dance floor. They recently dropped by the Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville to film a shiny new video featuring plenty of old favorites.

Klaxton Brown
Klaxton Brown, a perennial favorite in the local music scene, is still the ultimate party band. They’re a jazz group who can do it all: R&B, funk, gospel, pop, big band, and today’s top 40. Check out their new video to see for yourself!

Bonus! Behind the scenes with Altamira
You’ve seen our bands’ awesome new videos – but just how do those videos get made? Find out with this behind-the-scenes look from Altamira, the masterminds behind videos for Party of Four, the Mashup, Forest Hill, and more!
