With family ties to Naples, Florida, Ohio-based couple Shannon and Anthony surprised everyone when they announced they would marry on the opposite coast. Enlisting the help of Heather Lowenthal of Posh Parties, the couple set out to plan the perfect Palm Beach wedding at The Mar-a-Lago Club.
The October wedding day brimmed with warmth and sunshine as guests gathered on the lawn beneath a clear acrylic tent to witness Anthony and Shannon’s vow exchange. As Shannon’s late father was unable to walk her down the aisle, she honored her family unit by having her mother, sister, and brother escort her at various points of the processional.
Following the ceremony, guests moved inside for the cocktail hour and reception. Consistent with the ceremony aesthetic, the palatial ballroom was adorned in a white and gold color palette and glowed with candlelight.
After a quick wardrobe change where the bride donned a fabulous ostrich feather overskirt, Shannon joined her new husband on the dance floor for their first dance. Jessie’s Girls serenaded the couple with “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” As a tribute to Shannon’s late father, the band performed an a capella medley of three songs he and Shannon enjoyed together in lieu of a father-daughter dance.
The party then kicked into high gear with Jessie’s Girls energetic, non-stop performance. Guests filled the dance floor as they celebrated Shannon and Anthony.
