Event Recap: The Big Fake Wedding | Philadelphia, PA

There is so much to love about The Big Fake Wedding. Held in major cities across the country, the event allows engaged couples to experience wedding vendors in their element as they throw a “fake” wedding for an already married couple. In short, it’s one big, beautiful, fun party.

Over the past two years, ECE has proudly participated in several Big Fake Wedding events and each one has been uniquely gorgeous and full of inspiration. Last month, Philly’s finest wedding vendors rallied together in the Houston Hall spaces of the Perelman Quadrangle to throw one fun-filled soiree. The theme was “Edwardian England” and featured a muted color palette of pinks, greens and gold. Philly favorite, To The Max band, provided the evening’s entertainment.

ECE Philly entertainment consultant, Laura Nikolich, raves, “I love that the attendees can see all of the vendors in action. The Big Fake Wedding gives us the opportunity to show the couples much more than just a few photos and videos. What better way to inspire a bride and groom than to have them on their feet, dancing to a real wedding band?”

There is no doubt it’s an incredible night for couples. What’s interesting is it’s just as fun for vendors! Unlike a typical wedding expo, there is a camaraderie among The Big Fake Wedding vendors and the atmosphere behind the scenes is just as fun as the event itself. Says ECE Philly entertainment consultant, Megan Monaco, “Big Fake Wedding is different than other bridal shows in that the vendors really work as a team to make sure the event ends up a huge success. When you see the vendor for the invitations and the vendor for the cake pops out on the dance floor supporting your band, it makes you proud to be a part of that tight knit and supportive community.”
