It’s an exciting day as we announce that our ownership group is expanding! ECE is proud to share that Chris McClure and Ellie Schwarz have been named managing partners. Chris and Ellie become the twelfth and thirteenth members to join the board.
Chris began his career at ECE Charlotte in 2002 as an assistant moving quickly up the ranks to agent and event producer. In 2007, he began producing national talent shows and to date has produced over 100 events featuring well-known headline entertainers. His work ethic and drive to succeed have been the driving forces of his success.
When asked about his new role, Chris says, “I love the people I work with and am grateful for the opportunities I have experienced at ECE. With the growth our company is currently experiencing, our potential is limitless. I am thrilled to be a part of it!”

Ellie joined ECE Charlotte as an agent in 2007. From the beginning, her goal was to open an office in Asheville, NC and her dream was realized a mere nine months after her hire. Over the last decade, ECE Asheville has become a go-to entertainment resource for the Western NC, Eastern TN, and Upstate SC regions. She credits her success to immersing herself in an industry she loves along with solid networking and relationship-building – with clients and artists alike.

I am humbled to accept the responsibility of ensuring that the employees, clients, and artists who work with ECE have the groundwork in place to obtain their goals and dreams,” states Ellie.
Senior Managing Partner, Ed Duncan, shares, “Someone asked me recently what I liked most about the entertainment business. My response was helping people grow – whether it be agent or artist. When Ellie and I first started working together, she was young and eager – and broke! She had an incredible want-to attitude, but I wasn’t sure how great she was or wasn’t going to be. Twelve years later, she has not only blossomed into one of our company’s greatest sales professionals with countless happy clients and artists, she, too, has grown to epitomize what I want to see in a partner both today and when I retire. It is an honor to call her a great friend, partner, and someone we all look up to in our company.”
