SpeakerCity has exploded onto the cover band scene, quickly establishing themselves as one of the most sought-out acts in the region. Each member of the band brings years of experience as a touring musician, as well as unique energy to each and every live performance. Lead singer Kaitlin Sweeney and singer/keyboard player Nate Hall, formerly of Element K, have been actively playing in the cover scene for years throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, and Maryland. Guitarist Shawn Manigly and drummer Tyler Ingersoll played together for nearly a decade with the band The Crash Motive (formerly Omnisoul). They were able to tour the country and release an album with major record label Wind-up Records. Bassist Matt Berger has been playing professionally with several artists and bands for 12 years – most recently with Overlook of Philadelphia, PA.
SpeakerCity’s collective experience performing and recording has given them the ability to hit the ground running and quickly establish a loyal fan base. Their first show was in front of 2000+ people at the Bob Carpenter Center on the University of Delaware campus. The reaction was outstanding and created such a buzz that shortly thereafter, NorthBeach in Dewey Beach, Delaware called them in to play one show as an audition for a regular summer slot. Once again they impressed the crowd, solidifying their place as a staple of the Dewey Beach music scene.
