10/10! Incredible band. incredible performance. I wanted to find a band with the most talented musicians with the best set list. I am confident that I could not have found anyone better than Coconut Groove for our wedding. They made this an evening my wife, family, friends, guests and I will never forget. It was perfect.
I used to be in a touring band back in my college days, so there was tremendous pressure for me to knock it out of the park with the band selection. I was not going to settle for anything other than spectacular. The musicians, set list, and performance all had to be there. I took a risk by hiring a non-traditional wedding band and I couldn't be happier with my selection. These guys rocked. They turned the wedding into a concert. And the crowd went wild.
When I heard Coconut Groove on youtube, I was instantly sold. As good as their videos are, they sound that much better in person. Rick was fantastic to work with and delivered exactly as promised. He played all the first dance songs, played cocktail hour, during dinner, and during the dance portion. Rick shreds a guitar. Everyone shreds vocals and their respective instruments.
The entire dance floor of the wedding was packed the whole night and everyone absolutely LOVED the band. I received compliments from guests of all ages that the band was one of, if not, the best bands they had heard at a wedding. It was more like a concert than a wedding. This is exactly what I was looking for in a band.
Terry and ECE were fantastic to work with as well. I will most definitely recommend ECE and Coconut Groove to anyone in need of a top notch band.

I’ve gotten so many texts today about what a special evening it was, and every note has referenced how great y’all performed and sounded.

Thank you SOOOO much for recommending Coconut Groove Band for our wedding. They were SO AMAZING. I think every single guest must have approached me to rave about them. I sent Rick a list of songs I liked. Not only did they play every single song, they somehow guessed all of my favorite songs and played them too. It was so amazing. They made our whole wedding.
The best part was at the end. I was already so thrilled with their whole performance and thought they were done when they played Casey Jones. It wasn’t on their song list but I mentioned that it would be my married name and they played it for me and did such a good job. It was indescribably special.

Coconut Groove KILLED IT on the 4th. EVERYONE was having a blast through the entire thing. Crowd was cheering for an encore and an encore after that. Band only played the first encore and was awesome at diffusing the crowd. Would definitely have them back.

Thank you for all your help through the process. The band more than exceeded my expectations. They absolutely brought down the house. Everyone was dancing, they played everything I asked, they CRUSHED Tweezer Reprise and several people told me they felt like they were at a concert instead of a wedding. I even had people ask me to send them some more Phish stuff after hearing Reprise. I can't begin to express how pleased we were.

Just a shout out for the Coconut Groove Band that played at my son's wedding reception on August 2. They did a great job and were very accommodating with regard to the schedule of events for the evening. As is typical of this type of event, there was a large cross section of ages in attendance and the music was spot on for our crowd. I would recommend and/or be delighted to use Rick and his band again for a future event.
Thanks for arranging things and helping to make a special event that much better.

They have got to be the best band in the city of Charlotte. The reception was incredible and they absolutely killed it. Annah and I have become big fans and plan on seeing them every chance we get at Bean Town.

They were GREAT to work with and their professionalism was a bonus. You could tell they have a wonderful working relationship with each other and enjoy what they do. I really appreciate how well they adapted to our request for Beatles and Buffett because our crowd really, really enjoyed the music and the change in pace from what we normally host. The CGB would rank way up there as being one of the better bands that I've ever acquired for one of our events here on Daniel Island! The played such a great mixture of songs and are such talented musicians. You can definitely tell that they have been playing music together for many years.

We could not have been more pleased with the Coconut Groove Band. They were excellent musicians, and the dance floor was full most of the time! They accommodated us by playing numerous songs off of a "requested song" list we sent them, and everyone loved hearing all those great old songs! Rick and the other guys were especially nice in being willing to learn, and play, "My Wish," for my husband's first dance with the bride. Charlie was especially appreciative to have this special song for this very special time. I would not hesitate to recommend the band to any of my friends, and I hope there will be an opportunity for us to hire them in the future (no more children to get married, but maybe an anniversary party one day...?).

Rick, and the rest of Coconut Groove, did an amazing job - we could not be more pleased. The quality of the songs was spot on and the selection of music they chose fit our diverse in age and musical taste crowd very well. They did a great job of getting everyone involved. Many of our family and friends both complimented them and asked where we fond them.
I would not hesitate to hire Coconut Groove again or recommend them to a friend.

A+++ for the Coconut Groove Band. We had them play for our wedding (roughly 100 attendees for an indoor reception). They were extremely easy to work with before the event in coordinating the day of schedule, song for first dance, etc. Arrived in plenty of time to get their sound check done before guests arrived. Played every single song that we suggested (and rocked them all). People of all ages were on the dance floor immediately having a great time. They even did an encore ‘Happy Birthday’ for our triplet cousins that were also celebrating their birthday on the same day. Could not have asked for anything more.

The band was perfect. In fact most everyone we have talked to said that they were the best wedding band that they have every heard. They were great with our crowd, played awesome songs, sounded great, and were just generally the exact right band for our reception. They did a spot-on rendition of "Swept Away", and they kept going strong. It was fun to talk briefly with some members afterwards who just as appreciative of our energy and enthusiasm as we were of theirs. I would recommend this band to anyone for a wedding or other event!

When I hunted online for a band, I knew exactly what I wanted. When I picked you guys I had faith you were right, but was faced with questions from my (then fiance) "How do you KNOW they will be good?!". Let me just say, you BLEW us away. You were way above what I had in mind and did such an incredible job- it doesn't do it justice, but all I can say is thank you. I received compliments from everyone about how fantastic you guys were...you made our Friday night dinner perfect- we are so appreciative!!!

We're currently sitting in warm Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on the first night of our honeymoon and we can't stop talking about how much fun we had on Saturday night! It was truly the night of our lives and the band were such an incredibly huge part of it. I can't tell you how many people of all ages kept telling us how great the band was. We had multiple people tell us that it was the most fun they had had in over 30 plus years!!
I knew you all were going to be good, but I'm not sure I could have anticipated just how incredible the music was going to be. We knew it was going to be a good night when people were dancing before dinner even started! It was truly everything we could have ever wanted. We would love to have the full list of everything you guys played all night, just to be able to relive in our minds all that we got to hear.
Thanks again for making our special weekend such an incredible experience for both us and all our guests, it's truly appreciated. We will be 'singing' your praises and highly recommending the band for as long as we possibly can.
